1.3 sr vs 1.4 sri

i was reading max power, and if you look at the back to performance info it lists 3 novas, 1.3 sr, 1.4 sri and 1.6 gte. it says that 1.3 sr's are quicker 0-60 than a 1.4 sri and quicker flat out, is this true coz i was thinkning of investing in a 1.4 sri, thanks in advance. Scott

get the 1.4 sri, thats aload of bollox, my m8's got a 1.4 sri and he raced a 1.3 (his m8's) they are both standard under the bonnet and the 1.4 won

1.3 SR IS 70 BHP AND 1.4 SRI IS 82BHP PLUS MORE TORQUE AND BETER FUEL CONSUMPTION BECAUSE OF THE INJECTION SYSTEM. DRAW YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS.

The power ratings given in the back of max power for most cars are complete bollocks. They totally under
estimate the cars. A standard 1.4sr supposedly has 70 bhp, mines closer to 100 (if not more!).so get the 1.4 sri

1.4 SRI will beat a 1.3 SR - both standard

Simple answer. the figures that Max power give for the 1.4SRi are actually the figures for the 1.4 SINGLE point injection engine , as fitted in 1.4 merits and stuff. The SRi is MULTI point injection, and this engine is unique to the SRi. There is a huge diference between the two.
