Where do I begin?

Aged 12, stood at 4 am in the middle of north wales at a night rally, next thing, a nova comes flying past me on 2 wheels, right Im having one of them one day!

To my disbelief, my nan had a mk2 nova, so, i hounded for it, but it was sold 4 years ago to a mate of mine, it was the cleanest nova I have ever seen, 23k, garaged and 1 owner from new, full lookers history!

******* I thought!

Then the quest for an escort mk1 took hold, car not a problem but insurance a big one, so im stuck with my second favourite car of all time, for my 1st car! Not bad Eh:thumb:

So, me being a tool, bought a 1.0 mk1, with mk2 bumpers and bonnet! 1989 g-reg, 45 bhp animal!lol Gets it home, thinking omfg £230 for that!

Soon a love story developed, and I now have to see the car every day, much to the annoyance of my biker dad, who hates cars!

The mods:

c20let, coil overs and stripped and caged!!lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

Maybe one day, but for now:

Gas shocks and 60mm springs all round
Astra GTE rally slag wheels
Gte Dials
Strut Brace
Clear Rear lights
Sr Wrap Around
Silly exhaust (back to standard now)
GTE Door Cards
Alarm
Electric Windows
Ripspeed dvd thingy, sub and 2 6x9s!

If i was naughty, i would strip it and cage it, but insurance said bye when i mentioned that!

Future Plans:

New arches
New mk2 wings (Got but need paint)
Gsi Replica1.4 on twin 40's!

Usually they're silly expensive? As if you 'need' a cage you're planning to go balls out into a field apparently, that's what I always heard anyway, and it makes sense in the land of insurance, where safety mods are added because you drive like a prick obviously lol

Haha, the big brakes added £21! and the Gsi Bumpers added £0, the Suspention added £60 and the wheels added nothing either!

Cage= Wont quote!

I rang quinn, they said because its 20 years old they wont insure it lol

Wne ton the website instead and did it!

£820 tpft! On provisional lol

Been offered a 6 point omp competition bolt in cage, but it seems a little serious for a 1.0l!

an sj413 with bigger engine (1.6 vitara) and cage was cheaper to insure as long as have engineers report, i know its not a nova like but there death traps if roll one even at low speeds without a cage, surely insurance cant be silly price just because put cage in nova. did you try many companys or just one/two ?
