If i was just having a show cage, I'd rent a tube bender (in my case we have one already) and just make one up.
Dont make a home made one for safety though.

A show cage will do more harm than help in an accident as they tend to shatter.

EDIT: Just a quick qeustion aswell Twistie, how did you achieve 115bhp from an SRi motor?

why not just use b&q 40mm drain pipe lagging if it is just for show.....

only a real roll cage is worth fitting...

I never said a home built show cage would provide any support, I just meant that there's no point in paying into hundreds of pounds as some are for what is basically as useful as a heap of scaffolding on the back parcel shelf.

Plus, there are many places that fabricate their own cages, and work perfectly well, but lots of thought needs to go into where the strongest points of the shell are, where the shell needs to be caged etc etc.
