hi all,

right,

i got a starter motor for my saloon,

erm, been a while since i took old one off,

but anyways,

between the flywheel casing, and the starter motor, should there be any washers etc?

as i put it on, and tried firing it up, an it seems to grind the flywheel,

i was told it may be the starter for the gearbox wit a smaller fly:confused:

its a mk2 k reg 4 door saloon, 5 speed, anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

have you checked the teeth on the flywheel for wear etc? could be that the teeth are worn making the starter slip. either that or the starter is wrong

I still dont get how though lol. I fitted a 1.2 starter (F10 box) to a 1.4 SR engine (F13 box), same clutch too.

MSN me if your still intersted in any of mine.
