hazard light switch?????????????

i've just fitted a digi dash on my sri and come across a problem....
all the lights work on the car and dash but when the hazard warning switch is in the OFF position, pushed in, (HAZARD LIGHTS NOT ON) the indicators on the dash flash really fast and only on the left hand side of the dash and the relay which i have changed is ticking like anything....but when the hazard switch is in the ON position everything works fine....also if you press the indicator stalk to turn right both lights on the dash flash but turning to the left on the stalk all is good , again all outside bulbs work.....please can you help me ?????????:thumb: :thumb: :confused:

did you run the 2 wires from the left and right indicator stalk to the dash wires.

yes all wires are as diagram....even bought new hazard switch ??????

did you tape the black/white/green so its not earthing. also are you sure you spliced into the right wires on the indicator stalk.

yes all wires are taped that r not in use ? cheers:-) which wires do you think i should splice into and i will check? my bro helped me and he is a mechanic lol....

in the stalk there is a black and green and a black white and green and a solid white....i spliced the black and green (nova) together with the black and green off the astra loom and the black white (astra) with the black white and green off the nova stalk .....is this correct of totally wrong ????

Theres your problem i think, you need black/green on the dash to black/green at the stalk, and the black/white to black/white.

If youve joined the black/white/green wire to anything thats whats causing your problem if ive read that right bud, undo the black/white/green from anything and join the other two colour for colur and you should be fine!

ther is no black and white in the nova stalk tho????? just solid white and black and green...and the black white and green wire ...HELP...:-)

There should be dude as ive wired about 8 or 9 digi dashes in for my mates over the years and theyve all had those coloured wires, when you undo the plug from the back of the stalk its a two piece plug, one wire is in one plug and the other wire is in the other plug!

p.s the black white and green wire i cut into ....should i just tape it up as it is'nt needed yes?

Yes as the nova dash only ever has one direction flasher hence why that wire has both green and white colours on it so as youre skipping that wire and going straight to the stalks you just need to tape that one up out the way:thumb:
