r1 carbs on xe 2.0

hi all i was wondering what i would need to run bike carbs on my late coilpack xe. and will it run ok with my piper 270 cams :thumb:

Check the counts saloon build thread that has all the fixed dizzy gen in there, if you want to keep the coil packs you'll need management like megasquirt or weber alpha

You either run a dizzy or ecu as said above. I'm running Megajolt on mine which is a cheap fully mapable ignition only ECU. It only cost me £60 off the bay. You will then need Ford EDIS-4 and a trigger wheel to make it work.

If you got the dizzy route you need one with vacuum advance. These are getting harder and harder to come by now and getting expensive (can be £150+ for the kit) this is why I went the ECU option and the fact there's no mechanical parts to fail, well not as many.
