me and my mate just went out for a little drive in his 1275 mini cooper, came of a roundabout going about 30mph down a nice straight road then CLONK the right wheel bearing snapped or something and the wheel completely buckled the steering wheel spun two whole turns to the left and weve smashed straight into a electricity box, complete write off !
gota recomend the sabelt harnesses and sparco buckets though! kept me in one peice, ill get pics up of the mess tomorrow

ouch! sounds like a good'un. at least you walked away, and thats always a good thing. cars and "scenery" are replaceable, lives never are!

yes thats the main thing at the end of the day , not really looking foward to the whiplash in the morning ! the sad thing is it took him a year to restore it and it was a real beauty. it will be a while till he replaces it!

my mate crashed his mini into a tree with me and my ex in there.
I took the stereo out with my leg then had to kick the door open.

no its beyond repair, the sills are al twisted and the bulkhead came in about a good 5-6 cms the whole dash fell out
cut lot out and put a clubby front end innit and vtec it!
Not good.
Ive seen the front wheel fall off a Mini driving infront of me before. Quite weird seeing a wheel moving at 40mph shoot off down the road......

I had a 1380 Mini Cooper as my first car, was an awesome bit of kit but I quickly sold it after a mate of mine crashed his into another car head on. We were lucky to be alive, they had to cut the roof off to get us out and he had a very long stay in hospital. After seeing the sate of the car I knew mine had to go, thats when I moved on to Novas.
