Mk1 Digi Dash

Is fitting a Digi Dash to a Mk1 the same as fitting one to a Mk2, because i know there is a *how to* on here for a Mk2 but not Mk1.

some of the wiring colours maybe different. I know the mk1 sr dash for example is different in connectors to the MK2 SRi one...

doint ask me to list the differences though - best getting acopy of haynes and comparing the wiring diagrams at the back for that...

the mrk 1 dash is an ar5e to fit the clocks into

The wiring is fairly similar however when it comes to actually fitting the LCD in the dash that when it gets interesting.

You have to remove the whole dash so you can trim the plastic so it fits the slope of the LCD.

The LCD has to then be fitted from behind as its too big to fit from the front.

In a nutshell a big job !

Forget it.Buy a mk2 dash and have it done in an hour.Looks a hundred million times better and is 30,million times easier..........probably
