Trust me the best thing for it is Vinyl/Leather dye you can get it off ebay.

This (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MAGIX-LEATHER-VINYL-SPRAY-DYE-BLACK-400ML-LARGE-SIZE_W0QQitemZ270358116641QQihZ017QQcategoryZ10612 3QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem) is what I used

Its expensive but that spay paint doesn't seem to work in my experience, however that dye is great for the dash but you will need to spay the under trays and hard plastics with a normal primer and spray.

How long has that 'dye' been on there? can you scratch it off with a nail etc? Seems a bit suspct in the fact they refer to the "colourant adhering to the surface" surely dyes don't adhere, they soak in?

Yeah see what you mean but does seems to dye rather than coat, cant peel it off been done over 6months and it is still as it was when I did it.

Just use matt black.
I did on mine, cost me £3 lol
Even did glovebox etc etc too.

I just cleaned the dash with degreaser, and then sprayed it(no primer, nothing)
Hasnt chipped/flaked at all.

If it flakes its down to the dash surface not being clean/spraying too heavy.
