You will need plastic primer for it but it depends what colour you want to do the bumper in. And as always with spraying make sure its well prepped. :thumb:

Rub them down very well, you can use an addesion promoter on them too.
Plastic prime, sand smooth and then paint.

Please please dont use sh*tty matt paint on them.

key the surface up (light going over with scotch bright)

plastic primer (they all seem to do the same job)

etch primer (sticks like **** to a blanket)

primer (either celulose or 2 pac if you can still get it)

wet flat (400-600 wet/dry fairy liquid in warm water)

spray (the choice of your colour)

wet flat (1200 wet/dry very lightly fairy up liquid in water)

mop/polish (first g3 to bring back the shine an then g10)

fit your nice new bumper :thumb:

You dont need to etch them as the plastic primer does the same thing, and i really wouldnt 1200 wet flat them, way to many edges to burn thru.

depends what type of finish he wants :thumb:

you dont always have to use an electric mop, elbo grease never hurt any one lol

Paint them well enough, and hand polishing 1200 sanding marks out is an utter c*nt.

I wouldnt go lower than 1500 if you really have too.

Well I found to get the original "out of the factory new bumper" look, I just wacked on some plastic primer, then a few coats of matt black, looks tops.

And they hasnt killed the surface at all? Surpriced, as the plastic is very soft.
