Up to you....
I left mine in because its a nightmare remove(have to unwrap all the loom, remove the spi engine wiring and then wrap the loom back up...)

Tbh its easy enough to do, i just cut all the wires off the back of the ECU wire and then pulled the through from the bay, will leave you with about 4/5 wires that you just need to tape up and make sure they dont touch each other or metal/other wires.

Otherwise just bundle all the wires up and leave them in the corner of the engine bay.

only question left is the loom from the plugs into the ecu it seperates and half go's to engine bay half towards the back of the car how do ya sort that bit out?? thank you

Well once you cut it all out there shouldnt be anything going to the rear. But saying that i dont really understand what you mean.

the only ones that should are the lives/earths (if there is any) iirc i had about 4/5 of them, i just taped em all up and left em. Ideal for putting things on later that need a perm/ign live.

jesus, right.....

get the glove box out, undo the ecu, and cut ALL the wires to the 2 ecu plugs. unwrap the loom that goes through the bulkhead ( remove the tape) and do the same in the bay. pull the wires INDIVIDUALLY (one at a time) until no more come out. you will be left with the dash feeds and the fule pump wire, and a few permanent lives and switched lives. now drill a hole at the top of the bulkhead at the drivers side, feed your new engine loom through. pull the spare wires through from the bay under the glove box and back across the dash to the fuse box. connect em to the 3 small plugs and make sure to connect the fuel pump also. if the wires dont reach extend them, or, take the dash out, untape the dash loom, pull the wire across and retape it all. use the switcheds and permanents to feed the new loom. easy peasy. remember to tape it ALL up!
if this seems a bit complex then id stay with a 1.2 tbh, and build your skills, as the spi's are harder to do, and for a novice impossible....... its the ONLY way to do it. i did mine in car took 20 mins but i knew what i was doing, if ya aint got a haynes, get it and read it. otherwise you will fook it up! if ya put the starting and charging loom on the lump when its out its easier.

You're best of leaving them as they are, at least until you have the car running after that you'll see whats needed and whats not.

k i pulled all the wires that came from the ecu and they all cut out now and just as said left with fuel pump and dash feeds. just above was told to connect these wires to the 3 small plugs on new loom and the new loom only has 2 plugs a 9 pin one and 3 pin one i thought that all the wires needed were on this 9 pin plug do i have the wrong loom if i only have these two plugs??
