Doesn't the number as in EVO 7,8,9 etc relate to the number of electronic turbos/superchargers fitted. I heard that the new EVO 10 has 10 of these fitted in line each kicking out 100HP!

Anything forcing more air into you engine is going to work. But dont expect to notice much. Waste of money imo

Theres a vid on youtube of somone that hooked up a leaf blow to the intake and had it on a rolling road and found it had some gain lol

90cfm.... thats enough to restrict a 1.6 nova to about 80bhp lol


The only "electric turbos" that I've seen work and do whats claimed are NOT in the pubelick domain and wont be for some time... and they cost best part of £5K each

on the 2.2 global GM engine (Z22SE/L61) you get an extra 100bhp ontop of STD with a "cost" of 40bhp to spin up the hEaton S/C so the pistons are seeing best part of 300bhp when you are getting approx 210ish at the wheels

the onlu thing they would work well as is a cold air feed, but for the gains(if any) its not worth the agro, montego turbos used to run a set up like that a s a carb cooler iirc
