For those who didn't know, the Corsa 'C' GSi is coming out next year, In it will be a 1.6 turbo-charged engine, developing 160bhp.

Do you see where this is going..........

Rear Damaged Corsa GSi  Nova = :?:

It's just an idea for those of you with money

errrm i'm thinking that, the 160 bhp standard could be tuned to maybe 220-250 at least, and that would be a nice conversion for a nova :) 250ish bhp 1.6, ooooohhhh yeh :)

It was a toss up between the new 1.6 16v turbo (small block) unit and the 2.0 16 turbo unit as used in the astra's zafira's etc......

The 1.6 16v turbo unit develps 175bhp as standard as it has been put together as the same people as bought us the Zafira Gsi OPC (opel performance centre)

it will be very difficult to put these units in novas as the loom is very very complexed and would take a lot of work, not saying it couldnt be done but it would be one hell of a job!!!!!!!! good luck to anyone that is thinking of trying it!!!!!

the corsa according to contacts at vauxhall will by available with the 1.6 16v turbo unit only to begin with in gsi form.

they are also considering putting these into the the new tigra also.

you can get uprated ecu's/ looms from DTA/MBE/Emerald which will not only simplify matters but also give it even more power!!
I dont think you can use the zafira engine in a nova as the exhaust/inlets are swoped so the exhaust comes out the back of the engine and would foul on the nova firewall :(

Have they actually decided if its going to be the 1.6 or 2.0 turbo yet?

Also I thought the corsa 1.8 engine was a big block engine.

1.8 16v classed i believe as the small block to be honest.

Vauxhall sources indicate it will be a 1.6 16v turbo unit.
