as above really, i mean theres the obvious differences eg 8 more valves, another cam lollol, but could i just take my c16se out and bolt the x16xe in? :confused:

As far as actually fitting the engine yes they are a straight swap AFAIK, obviously will need to mod some bits like exhaust system to suit etc.

99% sure they share the same mounts though.

All the 16xe's are bassiclly the same. the main diffrence is the inlet manifolds. some are more restricted then others. for instance in the mk3 astra they are 100bhp and in the corsa they are 106bhp unless its the c16xe then its 110bhp :D

X16XE requires the imobliser sorting out, meaning matched ECU, key and transponder.
Find a C16XE and you wont need to worry.
