Right, had a quote for the 5 dr today, Agreed value of £500, with mods declared, alloys, lowered susp, exhaust etc. I'm 31, have 7yrs ncb. Couldn't get f/c due to value of car, so tpft quote was given at £391! with £300 excess! I also couldn't protect my ncb.

So what other modded insurance providers have peeps used? Need to try and halve that if poss!

Who was that with?

And what engine? 1600 8v?
Does seem a bit expensive that does!!!
Seeing as i paid about £500 on mine tpft, with more mods, a 1600 16v, and i was only 21

Nope that was with the boggo 1.2 4 speed!
It was actually from sky /\ and that was with my 20% members discount.
It didn't even make a difference if it was immobilised or not!

Thanks Nick, will give them a shout.

Just got quoted by HIC on my nova...

XE running 185bhp on carbs, cage, coilovers, brakes, wheels, buckets value of £2k with 3yrs ncd on 5k pa policy was £550. That covers me on track too and my excess is £170. I'm 27.

Performance Direct.
Alot cheaper than flux, hic, and a host of other places i tried for my XE. All mods declared, agreed value (£3k) and ltd mileage (3k), earning a 2nd NCB too (currently i'm up to 1 yr!!).
£300

Ok so, second day of ringing or quotes! (ringing one everyday on my lunch half hour!)
Today rang Adrian Flux, would offer me fully comp and protect my ncb.
As it stands, £240 tpft,
Fully comp, £300.

And with the c16se fitted it would cost me £310 tpft, and £360 fully comp.

Again too much imo, considering my age and ncb.

Will ring hic tommorow and see how i get on, anyone Know the number?

^ sounds like a good price.

I have always gone to HIC, seem to give good service and good prices. Never been keen on Flux TBH.

HIC where over £1k more expensive on my let Nova than flux so had to go with flux.

5k miles, all mods, agreed value £8k, 27 with 7 years ncb, clean license and terrible postcode came in at £640 fully comp.

a mate of mine swears by Brentacre, from what i can gather another sister company to Flux/HIC but no where near their prices. he's got his car on a "power policy", whereby he can do as he wishes with the car and so long as his BHP doesnt go above 150, the price doesnt change. he's 19, 1 years NCB on a polo GT, and pays around £800 iirc
