GTE vs GSI

GTE vs GSI which is better looking.... i have always thought GSI but lately im going more GTE especially in white:cool: , what do you say??

i think the mk1 have a more Rough and ready rally car look, which is what i like most about them either way mk1+2 are both AWESOMElol

always had a thing for Gsi's but have done them to death.
As im getting older the Gte is my preference :roll:
Currently building a Glacier white Mk1 Gte but with mk2 interior, cant stand the old mk1 plastic rattley dash :D

Definately GTE for me. Just the boxier looks of the Mk1 and the wrap around spoilers make them more old skool cool!

Would have to be either a black or white one though. This ones a beauty (bar the wheels)...

I'm seriously torn! I used to love thr GSi - but then I bought the SR and found myself hankering the the GTE.

As mentioned it's the more rough and ready look. The GSi's just a little too "refined" and curvey - it's become soft compared to his asbo elder brother!

The GSi interior is so drab & dark. I wish mine had a grey dash & matching trim.

Mk1 GTE for me, but tbh if I had a GTE I'd take off the skirts & put vinyl on the door bottoms anyway (aswell as grey the bumpers off)

Hmmm, still got this decision to make when I build mine up. Haven't decided to go Mk1 or Mk2, got a new pair of Valeo Mk2 headlights but not sure which way to go......

IMO, the Mk2 has dated far far better than the Mk1. Things like the Golf and 205 look retro, whilst the Mk1 nova just looks dated. The Mk2 with its smoother front end looks more modern. Plus the Mk1 doesn't have an interior, just a shelf with some dials and switches on it.

However, the beauty of Novas is it doesn't matter which you have as with a few quid and some spanners you can make one into t'other. Of course it still stands that if you made a GSi into a GTE you'd be doing it wrong, mind.

The 205 has dated well IMO, its a classic design. Where as the Nova just looks old lol

There were 3 J reg GTE around myway years ago my black one, a red and a grey.
This was my most recent nova i had on the road sold it about 3 or 4 years ago for an astra GSI which i now regret, if i hadnt sold it i recon i would still have it. A young lad bought it a smashed it about 3 times in a month.:cry:

personally i prefer the gsi maybe cuz i have 1. i prefere the mk2 dash aswell. i really hate when people put mk2 parts on a mk1 or the other way round, to me it just looks a mix match of parts.
dont get me wrong i love mk1s but think i slightly prefer the mk2 as its abit more modern looking. both cool looking cars to me.

For me its allways been mk2, so Gsi.

All ways since my first nova in 97 hated the mk1 hard plastic dash.
That Vauxhall seam to be going back too.
