At the moment i have the V6 front brake setup on my Nova. Pads and disc are new but there just standard jobbies. I have used fiat coupe 284mm pattern disks and gm pads. When they have worn out would it be worth putting drilled and groved discs and for e.g. greenstuff pads?

Opinions please, also the cheapest place to buy.

Avoid greenstuff pads, they suck, personally I had 256mm mintex discs and pads on my a-reg and they were at least twice as good as the ebc ive got now. £40 on ebay, much cheaper/ better than buying gm stuff.

Drilled and groved discs not worth it they are noisy and create loads of brake dust. had them on my gsi and had to clean the wheels 24-7

Id fit some standard discs, but decent pads....

But saying that i run the same setup, with motor factor discs, and std GM pads and it worked spot on! no brake fade even around Combe and Donnington

Think ill just leave them std for now then :)

Greenstuff are about as useful as using soap.

Mintex M1144 ftw. I've also got some multigroove discs from CRN which are good. But then I'm not anal enough to care about brake dust :D
