same 1s as i had on my old calibra redtop mate, did not sort out the tappety noise tho, came back after about a month, sold the car a month later so no idea how they worked after that
If its tapping you need to make sure you have good oil pressure otherwise they are not going to do anything!

i've used ebay lifters before, one was dodgy and never worked, sold in the head to john-h i think about two years ago, and as far as i know, its still rattling around somewhere. best bet would be get some if the old ones are noisey or for peace of mind, but keep back the good ones and possibly be prepared to refit an old one if a new one is garbage
Try www.allittmotorsport.co.uk they specialise in tried and tested autograss engine spares.

cheers gary always helpful :-)
or you could put the old ones into a vice & just hold them. then pop the little retaining washer off & then slowly undo the vice so the lifter should come apart. then give all the bits a good cleaning with something like mr muscle oven cleaner, dry the bits off, pour a drop of oil into the middle & put the bits back in. it is a surprisingly easy thing to do & costs no more than a trip the the cupboard under the sink.
