Had to post this, it's not my car so I'm not plugging it but this is rare, by the sounds of it the pictures were taken a couple of years back and he cut the sill of it too but look at the mint Recaro's. My big cousin had a 1.6 SR and I've always loved them, the interior is so cool!

3 original Irish registered from new! I seen one on the opel forum but it was recently imported from the UK. There should be more in Ireland as it was more common to find Opel dealers, was there even any Vauxhall dealership in Ireland at the time?

Just read the forum thread, he's made a balls of the car, the interior has been removed he broke the master cylinder and it's ben sitting for some time, and he's asking £1500ono of the site.

i gather he's sold the interior then!! but yea there a gold astra 1.6sr round here but its abit rough though!!

theres a tango one here, its unreal how good the old guy keeps it, its a aecond car and stays in a heated garage...

a mate had a choclate brown 1 of these years ago........was a pretty cool car....but getting rough

No, Aero mate, they were only ever Opel Dealerships in Ireland so they were all Kadett D's. If you look on www.totalopel.com (http://www.totalopel.com) we have a full section of Press Photos for the Kadett D. There was actually an Opel Kadett Corsa available at one stage. lol

Very rare check out the boot lid !!! as its not a hatch !!



Arent all mk1's like that though as i can only vaugely remember the last mk1 round here and it had a boot lid like that!

Yeah looks clean. From looking at the linked thread to mk1oc, he's washed it and got busy with some spray paint. Not really a resto??!!

i hope so matey there one round here its a gold bronze sort off couler!! i hope there are though matey i hope there loads in peoples garages but i really cant see there being that many!!

A mate of mine has one of these, declared sorn at the mo.

He rebuilt the rotten shell, nice set of wheels, sprayed it the rover metallic purple/blue, c20xe on twin 45's.

Bloomin lovely when it was done, about 8 years ago and very unusual being a booted astra and not a hatch.
