View Full Version : Nova diesel rear anti roll bar

I have an article which i cut out of the Feb 02 Total Vauxhall that is a suspension guide for Novas. It has a small table comparing Rear anti roll bars for different models, it says that diesel novas are fitted with the same bar as the GTE/GSi, is this true for all diesel novas?

Aye mate I have a Nova diesel and it has a mega thick rear ARB

Compared to the one in my Nova for the road it has a thin one from a saloon

Should be a wee swap happening soon though lol :thumb:

Your talking front anti roll bars with those sizes, the largest rear is 18mm.

To be honest regarding the front, unless your on really smooth tarmac you would be better off with the front removed, so long as you have good dampers and springs on the front that is.

ive only ever seen 1 size rear anti roll bar. the slot it slides down they have al been the same thickness down the length of the roll bar, so a thicker one wouldnt fit...

The GTE/GSi rear bar is 18mm, it has two flats on it to get it through the slot in the rear beam. Therefore if the bar is totally round it isn't a 18mm one. The article I read says the Diesel had the 18mm bar also.

18mm is the largest rear ARB. The fronts range from 18 to 22mm.

The set up I use for rallying is the front removed and the 18mm on the rear. As I said earlier you must have the proper suspension to allow you to run that.

The sr and lower modles rear anti roll bar is about 13mm thick, the gte/gsi one is about 18mm thick. Worth doing.
