View Full Version : reprogrammable ecu on standard wiring?

just bought this to see if a can get it mapped on my xe corsa. says it was mbe used on a group a astra gte redtop and plugs into the standard loom ect...
how accurate will this be? lol and anyone have any idea what kind of ecu or out it is?

Looks like a mega mega old MBE ecu, something like a 912?
It has a serial port though so should be re-mappable.

cheers adam, wasnt really that expensive so thought might aswell buy it and have a gan at getting it mapped. will it actually work with all the standard xe loom though, i thought you would need to change the loom or summit :s

speak to jonny at kirkbride JDM he deals in MBE and knows a hell of a lot about their stuff

Looking at that pic it seems its been wired up so it'll plug into a std xe wiring loom.
So it should do aye

you will have to find what it is before you can get software to talk to it.

take the lid off it and see if it has anything etched on the PCB.

lol hope it wasnt taken from a Dealer Sport GTE, they use a completly different loom to its road going variant.

sbd still sell an ecu and converter to use standard loom so cant se a problem there the only problem could be the age of the ecu does look like an old unit
