View Full Version : Early SR Steering wheels?

My D reg SR has a GTE Astra steering wheel fitted, would this have come with 3 spoke steering wheel new or a single bar with the squares at the end like a Sport?

is that an original sport /early sr wheel there?




i think i have 1 of them............on an old steering coloumn....lying in the garage.


i just thought it was an early nova steering wheel.


i must investigate.

On a D reg it would not have one of these wheels it would have a three spoke one with a round hole in each spoke, they were also fitted to the special edition Antibes and then the GTE. When they were facelifted(MK2) the steering wheel was the same style but with a more rounded horn button/centre cap

aye............thats the later type steering wheel on the 88-90 models is it not??
(ive a couple of them aswell)




then the 91 on models had the same wheel....but just had a slightly softer edged hornpush iirc.


so what steering wheel was on the sports then???
