I'm new here. I've currently got a Nova rally car build from a mint C reg 1 litre base model.
Current spec is.....
Fully seam welded shell
Weld in cage by Protection and Performance
1600 16v on twin Dell'orto 45
MBE ignition with TPS
SBD exhaust manifold to a modified Stainless HHMS GPA system
Quaife SCCR gearbox with 4.5:1 cwp, Tran-X plate LSD
2.25 coil over font suspension with Bilstein inserts, rear GPA Bilstein
Uniballs
HHMS works type sump guard
Astra 16v brakes, front with Pagid blue, rear astra disc set up with standard pads
Bias pedal box, full stainless braided internal lines
Corsa power column, quaife quick rack kit fitted
Bronze tinted polycarb windows
Fibreglass tailgate and bonnet
Motordrive FIA approved seats (mine custom made for me)
TRS FIA 6 point harnesses
FEV gas discharge extinguisher
Runs on various 14" rims with either Michelin, Dunlop or Hankook competition tyres.

I do mainly airfield events so tarmac, but have done a handful of forest events. And yes I have crashed
I'll get some pics up as soon as i'm allowed to.
Also going to be starting another one of my shells this year

Good to hear of another Nova rally car out there, they seem to be getting thin on the ground on the events I've been on recently.

Welcome to PNG!

Alot of people have moved on to the corsa for a rally car, but I like the nova and happen to have a couple waiting to be converted.
I manage to get reasonable results with the nova, I won the ANCC Kent Cams Multi use challenge and was first in class in the tarmac challenge last year

nice! cant wait to see this! only have a road rally car at the moment, however staging would be nice wheni can afford it! have you done twyford at all? either the 2wd stages or the turbo centre stages???

StuartWilson

Yes i've done Twyford wood, only done it once. It was the one in August last year I finished 19th overall and 3rd in class, missed out on 2nd in class by 3 seconds.

I was expecting to see a reshell! Top work repairing it :)

StuartWilson
11-03-09, 09:35 PM
was cheaper to get it repaired, the burondy nova in the 3rd pic was used as a doner for the panels, all cut back to the seams. No filler used in the repair just a small amount of body solder at the top of the A pillars

They cust cut the old damaged stuff off, then dressed it up back to the original seams. Then cut the old shell back to the seams and lifted the whole lot on in one piece.
Now this I didn't believe until I saw it. I dropped the damaged shell off on the friday afternoon ready for them to start on the saturday morning, I then took the donor shell to them at about 10.30am and the car was how you see it in the first 2 bodyshop pics. I was amazed at how quick they did it. I went back on the sunday afternoon at about 3.30pm and the car was how you see it in the 3rd pic!!!! I then picked it up on the following thursday all painted and ready to rebuild.
