Can someone please post a picture of the 1200/1300cc head inlet & Exhaust please or possibly soem dimensions. i have brought a ported head, however, upon removal it looks & measures up identicle to the item i currently have on the car. as far as i know it had a standard head, so confused as to if i have a ported head, or mistakenly was sold a standard head... :confused: :confused:

post up pictures of your head. Also take a valve out and feel for any ridges going from the port to the seat. The exhaust ports are often quite bad.

only on the net at work at the moment so cant do pics till wednesday.

all the valves are out and both inlet and exhauts ports are quite smooth although i think i can see casting marks running down the side of them. im really confused by it as i dont think for a second they guy who sold it to me intentionally sold me a standard head instead of a ported one!

properly feeling like :tard: ...

also the valve guides are tapered towards the bottom on both, is this normal?? :confused:

Do You Know What Type Of Head You Were Sold Ie A Name Of The Person That Modded It???? Also There Should Be 1.2/1.3 Stamped On It

dont know who modded it... but was sold to me as a ready ported 1300 head by someone who knows ALOT about nova's, and was informed that 1200 & 1300 heads are the same. upon inspection, yes they are the same visually AND to measurement so confused. :confused: is the original head ported or are they both standard? will put what cast markings up tomorrow or tonight.

post up the casting no it will start 90xxxxx usually on the exhaust side of the head.

It was ported, but the ports weren't enlarged, they were smoothed off. For some reason i thought they would be enlarged a bit... I had a chat last night with him and he explained what was done to it. Went home had a look and it was all there... Lol. :tard:

apparently the 12st head flows slightly better than the 1300 head..

if the guides are still tapered and not cut back i would assume its a standard head...
