View Full Version : got my 17s on
well i put the 17s on today and oh boy does it scrub. backs not too bad just needs a small bit of rolling on the driver side but the front are being an absolute bastado. since the wheels are off a jetta the offset is a bit low so they stick out under the arches a small bit with about 10mm clearance off the tyre.
would get pics up but i cant get any on the laptop at the moment

Doesnt look too bad, your arches on the other hand....
They will more than likely catch though.
You got the centre caps?

lmao...yeh the arches on the back are pretty rusty anyway. nah they dont catch at all, i thought the front would be quite bad but they are fine now as well
i got the centre caps but i like them looking like that. might give it a clean at some point n get proper piccys
that looks very nice, i had 17s on mine and it looked fine, it depends what wheel tbh
i swapped a set of 17" venoms for them without tyres, and helped remove an engine...bargine really

looks all wrong, but thats my opinion
I think it looks really well!! XE it now and dont do anything else. Looks spot on.
im thinking about an xe when i get my mr2 on the road. needs a new wing, and some rear arches.
oh and different interior..i HATE the brown dash and bage everything lol
Nope, leave it as it is mate or you're a fool.
maybe a good steam clean then. the bit under the bumper was painted grey...found them for £19 so might put another one on and have it the right colour
you found one for 19 quid WHERE lol
and also i think the set up looks sweet lol, i do have a soft spot for any car where the wheel sits in the arches just nicely.
o and if you take out the brown dash, becareful not to brake anything, they are not easy to get hold of IIRC and probs sell on here well
it would need a new glovebox door and ash tray. sumthing was screwed into it and there is a crack down the side nr the clocks
