2.0 conversion

im going to put a 16v into my gsi soon but the gearbox if shagged so i know i need a f16 or f20 what is the ox on a 1.8 astra gte mk1 i think will it fit and had any1 used gte driveshafts with astra inner cv joints do they work ok???????

go for the f20 box if you can. try www.valvers.com
gives ideas of driveshafts to use etc

the astra gte 1.8 came with a F16cr.
thats what i use on my 16v.

maybe on the 1.8, but out of the f16 and f 20 the f20 is the stronger box, although mine was for a 2 litre 16v and is the preferred box for that job. :P

how can you tell the difference between an F16 and an F16cr. Cos i had a cr but had to change the box cos it was fucked. Now have an f16. HELP!!!
