Astra digi-dash odometer is same as a nova one (mechanical) isn't it? If you know how to do a nova one then it'll be simple.
Take the clocks apart and have a spy matey its fairly obvious but not exactly the thing we should be posting up on a public forum as in theory its still clocking even though youre resetting the original mileage!
Its not clocking as the mileage is recorded on the MOT

its possible but you need to strip the dash right down to get to the mileage bit out. the rest is obvious. i put my calibra ones back to zero before bining the clocks.

it's still clocking - if your insurance has limited mileage you can technically knock a few thousand miles off your mileage prior to your MOT to keep it within the limits.
Of course the PNG SERIOUSLY FROWN on anyone who clocks their car - its fraud and BAD!
:roll:lol
pme me mate, ill tell you how to do it providing its for legal use :thumb:
dont want info on the forum that can be mis-used

dont worry admin i seriously wouldn be into that stuff, just my 1.2 8v isnt powerfull enough an i've sourced a 2ltr seh engine an want to correct the mileag, dont wanna write down what was on the previous engine an whats on the new engine an tally it up, i have the old clocks out an there correct with the engine that i have out
and dont forget im upping the mileage to the correct miles on the engine, going backwards would worry folk but im puttin more miles on
Milage should be what the shell has done mate! I put a 130k redtop into a 90k corsa

afaik its not illegal to change mileage on a car just illegal to sell it with it done.
If you can change the oil then you can adequately change the ODO... its not hard
For the sake of 4,000 miles I don't think it's worth the hassle! It'll hardly be noticed, be a different story if it was 24k.............
yeh thats true, 4 k is not much, i made the digi dash the right milage for the car and am keeping the original clocks for some kinda proof.
i dont see a point in lieing. people know how long a nova will last and IMO they will be checking for rust more then they will be caring about a 1.2
