I know that you can have Cav MK2 Motors fitted in the Nova mirror but I couldn't remember if they ever came with power mirrors as an option.
Will go have a look on the bay see if theres any knocking about.
Some mk1's came with an electric mirror on the passanger side, maybe the GL models? Theres some one on here with it.

Really passenger side only? I can understand why but its a bit silly.
Any ideas who it is?

As above only on the passenger side (can adjust the drivers side one easy enough lol)
But i have seen a set on ebay (both sides) where one would have been from a uk model and the other from a LHD car, i belive they sold for about £40-50? and the seller said he used a corsa or astra switch.
I converted mine some years ago with motors from another Vx (forget which). The motors were so crap that I went back to manual, hardly worth the effort.

I know you can mod the Nova mirrors with MK2 Cav items.
Im just fed up of having to lean over and adjust the mirror.
At least I know it's possible to get hold of :thumb:
Cav mk2 motors fit directly into Nova mirrors. Cav Mk3 ones will fit, but need a little cutting.
There's a guide on here somewhere about it.

Really? Cav MK3 items fit? Is this in the 'how to' section as I have a pair of mirrors out of a GLSi Cav sitting in my garage.

i sold a passenger side one on ebay a couple of months ago had it for years but could never find a drivers one this thread explains why then if you could only get the passanger ones
As i said you can get drivers side ones, but there euro passenger ones lol
Any electric mirror setup can be fitted, just need to have cut here and there and some bodgeing lol

Yep. Pretty sure its in the articles, have a search for it.
I've got a mirror at home with a cav mk2 motor in it. Never got round to fitting it or doing the other one though.
I have seen them about, I thought they were all overseas nova's or the corsa A of course!
Some Euro Gsi's came with full electric packs so they are out there somewhere :D

Tis I, I broke my hairdressers old 1.3 GL last year and when I picked it up I found it had a genuine dealer/factory fit passenger mirror.
I am not sure why they only did it with the passenger mirror but the drivers mirror is not exactly too far away to adjust manually!
I kept the set up and after a Europe wide search I managed to track down a brown switch mounting plate to fit it to my A reg SR.
The switch goes next to the headlight switch & looks like this...

That would go perfectly in the blank space next the the headlamp switch. Another reason why I wanna consider these little upgrades, I have too many blank spaces in my dash lol

Just read the guide and its brilliant, both guides for the Calibra / MK3 Cav & the Mk2 Cav are very informative.
A quick question though. If I go for the MK3 Cav setup can I make use of the heated glass demister?
(That really needs to go into the How To section)

Just had a look at my original guide and it looks like the connectors on the matrix don't need to be cut off so it is a possibility you could get a feed on them.
