my brothers mate owns a 2.0 16v nova and it needs a new water pump, is it possible to fit a new one with engine in or will it have to be removed ?

i'd say you'd need the engine out, im 95% sure thats correct.

If the pump has been in a long time it won't feel like coming out easily, get the Engine out.

its a rite bastard! well on mine it was.we had to lower the engine rite down so we could slide the plate that is behind the cam pulleys down to get at water pump but maybe be that other valva's engines are mounted further across the mine! I would say to anyone puttin a valva engine into a nova to change the water pump before the engine goes in!
