Hey ppl, i was up at halfords looking for a new set ov alloys, i seen a very nice set ov 18's, they were a 7*18 fittment with a 45mm offset but the bloke behind the counter said they come with only 215 or 225 width wheels, is it possible to fit 205's on the rims or do the 215's go on!! which company makes if they do

ohh yeah how much more difficult is it to put 18's on instead ov 17's??? i would prefer the 18's sp that the car will be able to clear small stones, cause with the 15's on and ma new front bumber it near enough sits on the ground ;-)

Cheers and many thanx

if its lowered so far that its nearly scraping the floor u might not even get 18's on

u will DEFINETLY need arch mods and prolly quite extensive ones at that

as for the 205's - u can fit 195's on 8J wheels, it just looks stupid - the tirewalls slope inwards

205's should be fine tbh

but it will take a LOT of work to get them on there in normal circumstances, never mind with your drop

i have 215/35/18s on. The rear arches ideally need to be delipped completely and ideally pulled out a few mm more. Inner arches need tapping back a fair bit but its quite easy to do as long as there not rusty.

For the fronts i had my arches physically cut around about 1 inch higher than normal. I left the inner arch alone on the front.

The cars lowered -60 at the moment but i plan on going lower cos it looks like a bit like a monster truck

Complete crap compared to 15's/16's. Its still a lot better than a standard car though.
