Removing Backbox

Got the U-clamp off and un-hooked it from the bush at the back. Apparently it should twist off after this but this doesn't quite seem to be the case. Sprayed the joint to the mid-section with oil and tried twisting it like fook and a bit of hammering but it wont budge.

Any tips?

if your not keeping it bend back the sides where the slot is and work your round then hammer,wiggle etc till its off. or use two hammers and hammer the joint side as these are rusted to the centre pipe hence it not moving. or heat it with a blow torche then wiggle and hammer it like funk.

Want to keep it as I'm just taking it off to spray...

heat it and use the hammers as this wont wreck it.
