help with k+n airfilter

can you get a K+N airfilter for a vaux nova 1.0, if yeah where from. If you cant is there any other airfilter you can get such as pipercross etc.

lol at,the word preforamce and 1 litre in the same sentance,
to be honest,the one litre has very little preforamce up grades,i dought KnN do one,as they dont even do one for the 1.2 nova,
i would try green,or you may need to mod on to fit ya car,
if you can,fit a sr carb and inlet,then ya can get a KnN,
but i cant remeber if the inlet off a OHC fits a OHV engine,

i wouldnt advice any1 to buy the sr carb (pierburg) i'm in the process of changing mine to a webber just now.

you could get a direct replacement filter to go in your air cleaner (K&N part No. E-2585)

alternatively, K&N do a range of clamp on filters of different sizes. mainly for custom made engine set-ups, or motor bikes etc. get one that fits your carb. you can measure the diameter, or you may find it in the Haynes. brand new clamp-ons pop up on eBay from time to time.

you could always try mating up some parts from a 1.2 ohv engine (like in a mk1 astra) to see if you can get more power. there's plenty of them in scrapyards.

but don't go wild tuning you 1.0 if your planning on getting something bigger in the next year or so you'd just be wasting your money.

I had a 1litre nova wiv a bolt on K&N, which I wrote the car off last year. I bought a 1.2 nova this year & the K&N fits on it!!

Its the 3 bolt type...
