Hai Guys.


Right, the wee lad that helps me in the Garage has gotten his hands on a nice 95 TD Vento, he no longer wants it and so I offered to take it off his hands to use as a shunter around the yard. After a brief inspection, its fuuking clean and doesnt really deserve the fate I've chosen. I'm looking for Rat look/ Budget inspiration as the car may yet find 3mths tax and a few miles put up on it. Any pics or suggestions?

PS, its a Red but faded to pink Colour.

whilst at knockhill the other week there was a vw meet going on and there was a stunning polo in that colour - all euro style - smoothed with round headlights - t'was gorgeous - and so was the lass that owned it!

Wish I'd taken a few pics now...

Thats the one. I dont think much of the Headlights, they're a bit awkward looking. I was thinking a simple Clean up and a severe Slamming.

dod, cut the springs, fit a roof rack and some wide steelies ( try www.wheel-whores.com (http://www.wheel-whores.com)) and ya done! the td lump tunes up well too.....

the other option is a mk4 golf cab front end as it fits the mk3 shell and gives ya mk4 looks. if its not got one fit an intercooler and wind the fuel up.

Stick a dash in that URL or it gets you nowhere Rob (cheap hotels Lol). I have some banded steels on there and couldn't find the site lol

Agreed with Pete, mk3 front end needed. Swap the Golf owner lol - those A8/lights reps do nothing for it either IMO.

There used to be a Vento around here with mk4 lights and it actually looked decent.

Because the mk4 cab is a facelifted mk3 ;) :) Check the backlights.

front end swaps aren't in the nature of 'rat'. Vento front looks the best anyway. Here's my mate from a few years back.

I'm thinking chopped Springs and some nice 15" steels with an appauling offset.

Hang on, its too clean to just as a "shunter" but its ok to "rat" look it?
Its funking it up either way.

Get some nice wide rims on it, slamm the tits out of it, smooth as much as you can.

Sorry but that just looks wa*nk.

Its some ones mums cl 5door, with some crap alloys and rusted bonnet and a roof rack, thats not rat, its sh*ite.

I have a set of 15" steels et39, so if I fit 12mm spacers I should have a a nice stretch and still decent grip from the wheel nuts.

I'll keep you all posted.
