just fitted a 4 brunch manifold to my nova gsi the wire for the lamburt was to short for hole in the new manifold. to cut the wire so it would reach seem ok but engine light came on after 2 miles. help peter

its called a lambda sensor

Did you rejoin the sensor wire? If not that's why :)
If you did then it's not a good join. Solder is useless on the high temp wire used in lambda sensors. You'll need to use a mechanical, heat resistant crimp to make the join.

in my experience, cutting wires makes them shorter. Not longer.
Check error codes? Just to make sure it is the lambda sensor thats playing up.
And also LMFAO @ "lamburt"... and "brunch manifold" lol

you might be able to help me m8. i have a gsi and want to fit a lambor sensor to it as it never had one before i got hold of it. i have now brought a compatiable mainfold for it and just need to know where to find the cable to join it too. hope you can help thanks

hy it was the speed sensor in the gear box playing up all ok now/ what engine code is your gsi

Glad you got the problem sorted out mate and it wasn't the lambda sensor faulty :)
I dont have a "lamburt" on my gsi? Is it a gsi or a gte?
no gte's have lambda sensors and some late gsi's do. basically c16se's do
