1.4SR or 1.3SR

Ive been thinking of getting a new car an a new nova is wot i want but is there really that much difference between a 1.3SR and a 1.4SR not injection? My mate has got a 1.3SR but i want to beet him cause ive only got a poxy 1.2 at the moment!!

Get a 1.3, you can tune them to the bollox, and they can beat a standard 1.4 IF they are tuned properly. Plus the insurance isnt as much as a 1.4! But its up to you! Good luck m8!

there basically the same in top end speed and acceleration, if i was u i would go for the 1.4, but thats me and my opinion, other people like the 1.3

Ive got a 1.4, so im impartial, go for a 1.4 its got to be a bit quicker coz its the same weight I think and a bigger engine.

Ok, they r exactly the same weight. The 1.3sr is 70bhp, the 1.4sr is 72bhp. The folowing mods add a little more. Backbox (3-4bhp),exhaust system+box (5-6bhp) twin-choke carb (4-5bhp), performance filter (2-4bhp). There u go. Message me if u want more specific info on the mods.

Get the 1.4 - I've owned both as standard and the 1.4 is quite a bit quicker.

You`ll get more torque from the 1.4, easier to drive.

Chris G u say u can beat a standard 1.4 if u tune a 1.3, then obviously the 1.3 is slower, so if u get a 1.4 and tune that u'll blow the 1.3 away!
