right am just finishing putting my 2.0 8v in (20ne) and need to change the bottom pully (multi tooth to v belt) i have already changed the alternator.
so i went to the good old scrapy and got sed mentiioned pully came back and it wont fit the holes are to far a part and it sticks out to far (i have chopped the power steering bit offlol )
so i was wanting to no if i need to change to bottom timing belt pully and the cam pully and water pump and belt.
any help would be fantastic.

you need the pulley from a carlton with an ne engine, theyre k l and m reg.

dont think you need to change all that is the bottom pully you got off the right engine

the pully i got was off a 2.0 8v in the scrapy twin v belt one might get the timing pully off the same car and see if the teeth are the same shape then chuck it on

mate, like i said the carlton one is the only one that fits. if ya change the crank toothed pulley you have to change the water pump and cam pulley and belt. they go for 20 on the bay

the one you bought may be off an SEH which i think is different what car and reg was the car in the scrapyard you had the pully off

not sure so if i get bottom timing pully and cam pully new water pump and new belt it will work

err nope, try a vaux specialist breakers. allvaux or vpsc have them.

no carltons in scrap, no carltons on ebay, looking for another way

there isnt. trust me ive done 6 ne conversions and loads of others

maybe i have a pully off a seh instead theres a 8v gte in there so al look at that
