Well i started off yesterday and had a really good day, finally got the exhaust finished and engine (20ne) running (VERY anti-social - see video) had a problem with the fuel lines pissing fuel, so got that sorted and was very happy with myself, to make it even better the weather was glorious yesterday without a cloud in sight,

Roll on this morning, was overcast, (should have took this as a sign) but still, carry on regardless, seats fitted, harnesses, clocks in, right lets give it a little blast,

My first time in a nova!!

Ok, wheel binding, ah, that'll be the brakes, (she's been sat a little while) so, off we go hoping the wheel will free, hand brake, pumping the brakes, dragged it about 200 meteres and then back, to discover

Locked brake cylinder, so one brand new tyre gone, not happy, still at least it's only a budget, so a new one is like 50 quid, alright if you've got 50 quid!!! and it's a sunday, so i can't even get a new cylinder and brake drum (which i broke trying to get it off with a lump hammer cos i had a bag on!!!!

But i have to say, it was a fun 400 meters, i've never driven anything like it :)

Though feel really rather stupid, i should have stripped it down and had a proper look, was sheer impatience at just wanting to get on the road with her.

RANT OVER

all you needed to do was give it a gentle tap....... with a hammer and a drift.. & you would have been £100 up.

I'd probably buy the cylinder and drum from a motor factor. Saves messing about with parts that probably have the same problem. Drum is probably £20 and cylinder the same?
