ive removed the lip under the rear arches and lowed the car by 35mm on spax al round. Im after some alloys i want some speedline rls 17s but i want to make sure 17s will fit its a 1990 mk1
some 1 said with 205 40 17 et 45 it shud be ok but i thought i best ash u guys first...

i'd be surprised if they went on atall. Serious arch work to get 17's on i think. Just bowwor someones and try

the arches will need a lot more work than just grinding them. even when rolled 17's can still catch.
for the rears best bet is to cut the arch completly off about 3-4cm higher, weld the two skins together put your wheel on and weld on an arch repair panel around it. the fronts need the lip folded over flat then panel beat the ridge above the arch flat to stretch the metal so it can be rolled further . then after all that hard graft you need to fill, smooth and paint em.
i wouldnt attempt it if your not sure what your doing.

go for 200 tyres - less problems i wudda thought
