View Full Version : My first proper non-Vaux! (offensive content)

Well its been 12 years, but I have strayed away from the Vauxhall fold....

Having owned 100 novas, astras, calibras etc I have splashed out and chopped the VXR in for something else....

Couldnt decide what I wanted, but knew it had to be a 2 seater... tried out the VX220 Turbo and tbh I hated it (sorry Stu) I wqas gutted cos I really wanted to like it, but it really wasnt practical for my daily commute - so I needed to find a compromise....

I went for the Honda S2000 - I knw I am gonna get slated by the homophobes, but I dont care, imo its a stunning looking car that handles awesomely for a factory smoker!

Have just got in from a90 minute drive and I cannot fault it! It turns in very well, despite of the tyres (205 55 16) and stays there unless you really open her up over 8k!

240 bhp at 8400 and 164 lb/ft it isnt lightening, but its a bit quicker than the Astra and it would wee all over it on teh track and then there is the 9k limiter!;)

Anyway here is what the old girl looks like....

Nice, I like those. If everyone takes the piss because they think it's a girly car, we can swap because everyone says I have boys cars:p

not bad, couple of things though

-whats with the GT badge? special edition or badge engineering?( i'm not too well up on hondas)
-i thought the red "H" badge was for type R's only?

other than that, nice car, my neighbour had one before vtech kicked in and he flipped it... y0

Well spotted on the badges - the 'GT' will be coming off. It is a GT model (hardtop) but the badges are non-OE

The red badges are from Japan apparently - non-OE, but look better, so they will stay!

Cheers burgo ;)

Stu - are you scared of these then? It hasnt scared me yet, but now am scared as I am home alone and its on the drive!lol

Stu, he'll actually need to use the accelerator pedal before he gets scared lol

Around the lanes by me the rear did take a walk on 2 occaisions and I wasnt going slow, and tbh it was quite predicatable....

Then again, I may have just totally fluked it and could have just had 2 near death experiences...

Olly - if you think that I am scared of the accelerator you are free to join me anytime! (in the passenger seat of course);)

Good chioce Will, I have always liked the S2000's, and when my old nova was dead i was either going to brake it all for parts, sell my daily drive and buy one of these, or do another nova, guess what stupid route i took?

lol
Look's ace hope it stays that way, enjoy mate:thumb:

Yeah, but they are all soft tops! lol and technically this one is a hard top!
;-)

Spanish - yeah the NSX is a brute but on paper the performace is closer tha you think, although in reality the NSX is a beast, esp on track!

Cheers John and Scott!

Yeah mate, the NSX isn't all out speed or anthing. Just something horny about high revving v6's in slick bodyshells, that have a chassis to die for!

I had to have one with the hardtop, cos I think they look better!lol

Its absolutely immaculate to be fair, a lot of cars professed to be mint, but they really werent!

Bought it from a dealer in Newport - paid more than I wanted to, but then it was worth it!;)

Ben
03-03-09, 06:22 PM

Will F
