just tricking,lol.

collected my new engine from cornwall after a 3 and a half hour trip.a good ebay find i think.

only problem i got now is that i cant get it out of the boot!! didnt realise just how heavy they were.even if i got four people to help lift it then 2 would still be by the rear seats while the other 2 are struggling.

havnt got a engine crane so my next bright idea would be take it apart while its still in the car to make it lighter.lol.

we will see what tomorrow brings.

how did they get it in???

get a big plank and a short one. then make a short ramp in the boot and a long one outside. then walk it down. I managed it with a cvh once

put your back into it.
ok i know dan was on the other end and waiting for food but me and him lifted a complete engine(xe) and box into the back of his veccy c so was alot higher to get over than a veccy b.

tbh getting the engine out should be a peice of cake, just take a good look at your lifting points and assume a good foot hold before attempting it. me and my baby bro just threw mine out with no hassles and as ernie said box etc was still fitted. That was with the back seats still up etc, so just a clean lift over the rear part and away.:thumb:
