c20let or xe is the best mod you can do for a 1.6
massive spoiler, neon washer jets and some go faster stripes.

Not very helpful answers really lol
For a start we would need to know what 1.6 your talking about. Is it an 8v, on carbs, 16v, vtec engine, ford engine..
diy window tints, extra points for creases.
edit, sorry rich, just think modding is a personal thing, use you imagination.
Hes not asked about mods, just the engine i assume he wants to know what he can do to get more power may be wrong..

what bhp are the tigra engines standard??
105bhp or somthing like that, better for tuning bits later on though!
go for a x16xe or c16xe then get a manzel style inlet box for £130. then a 4 - 2 - 1 manifold with bigger cams. That will see you fine. or just buy Craig Greens c16xe which is a very very good engine as it used to be in my mates corsa and was 147bhp iirc
And they are between 106 bhp and 109 bhp standard
theres no such thing as a 1.8 cali bud....

go for the 1600 gte engine id say matey, the 1800's are obviously better, but your stepping up into big block territory there and theres gonna be an upset in weight balance, plus conversion costs and issues.
youll need an injection petrol tank/external fuel pump to convert your carb to mpi and possibly some fiddling with fuel lines too. not sure whats required on the wiring front. friend of mine wired in an xe to his 1.4 carb loom, so i think youll get away with your current loom. driveshafts you might need to upgrade to handle the extra power, and not essential, but it'l be wise to get a set of 6 dial clocks so u know whats going on under the bonnet
