My new more door that i bought has Uneven rear brake application on the rear  When brakeing the N/S/R wheel locks up
It failed its last m.o.t on this so i'm eager to sort it so i can get some test on it, anybody got any ideas on wots causeing it or how to fix it? Cheers in advance

Sticking rear drum mechanisms or most probably dodgey rear master cylinder inside the drum. Get the car up in the air see if any of the wheels are binding.
Does it only do it when applying the foot brake or does that side still lock up first when applying the handbrake too?
I had the same on my last mot and they found my problem was with the master cylinder.

ive just cured a prob like this on mine, the lil clip that holds the handbrake cable on the inside of the drum had pissed off so the cable was over-exerting itself so to speak, so i was getting more braking on the o/s/r than any other wheel, was bloody dangerous actually.. locked up on numerous occasions.
the brake cyclinder on that same drum is leaking also, which i need to remedy, but atleast its safer to drive now.
oh. one more thing, theres no sign of copper grease on any of the contacts either, was prob a combination of all three fcuking up the show.

Could be the restricting valve that is on the master cylinder

There should be 2 screwed in the master cylinder then the pipes for the rear screw in to them. They are about 2" long, they have a number etched or stamped in them. The numbers on both should be the same, if not one side will get more pressure than the other
You've just jogged my memory, thats exactly what happened with mine, the garage sia dI may need a need m/s but in the end they swapped them over and it was fine.

ive got a feelin this might be the culprit on mine also, despite the 3 factors i mentioned earlier, im planning on changing the leaking rear cyclinder, installing 2 litre calipers, chaning the master cylinder and servo, then setting up the handbrake and bleeding the whole lot all in one hit, if that doesnt cure the prob i dunno what will.
Joycey - if it is the rear brake valves let me know, ive just changed mine for gsi ones.
Same goes to you taf.

i think its just the rear brakes that need adjusted. the auto adjusters are **** so adjust the shoes so they just skiff the drums then all done.
