Micky,
U gave me some good advice a few months back about
doing a 1.4SR engine transplant into mi little 1.2i. Ive
finally decided im gunna do it, so i rings my insurance
company (Norwich U Direct) for a quote, they put me on
hold for ages while they spoke to the underwriters. When
she comes back the woman goes we will not insure u if u do
that. The reasons she gives are bollocks:
1)The car will be faster...er yeah why do u
think i want to do it in the 1st place!!
2)The engine is much bigger and weighs lots more
and so the car couldnt cope (more bollocks)
3)The brakes on my car arent designed to stop
an engine of that size (More absolute bollocks
as we all know the brakes r the same on 1.2 and 1.4SR's!!)
It really pisses me off that supposed expert motor insurers
really do not know what they r talking about.
So my point is....can u give me the number/
e-mail of your car insurance company. Ive heard u
mention them before, is it greenlight/flag or something.
Would be much appreciated.
Tony.
