Xe flywheel/clutch

So i bought an early XE flat type flywheel for my late engine, i have now machined it to reduce weight of course:D but now i'm wondering wich clutch i'll need to buy early/late type..is there a difference??

Yep you'll need the early clutch to match the flat fly. They are different.

cheers john;) is it just a difference in width because i'm worried the release bearing won't reach the cover plate?
