HIC/Flux do iirc. I'd go with HIC, same company but the customer service is better with them

What kind of cost are we talking with HIC?

Something at the back of my head says £35 for agreed valuation... but check that.

A small price to pay for peace of mind IMO. And i agree about going to HIC instead of Flux. Never been a fan of theres and their prices can be outrageous!

Just had a quote from HIC the best they can do is £1695.35, i'll have a shop around first as it seems quite steep to me

You got points? How may years NCB? High/medium risk postcode i take it? Your 21 so that goes in your favour.

No i dont have any points, have 3 years NCB, i think the postcode is high/medium but it is garaged and has a cat1 alarm&Immobiliser, does it sound high to you Pete?:thumb:

Edit: With a limited mileage of 1000 a year too as it wont be going out that much

Flux customer service is much improved to be honest, they have been really good with me this time whereas a few years ago they were a nightmare.

They charge £10 after they have agreed the value.

Flux policy was £640, hic wanted £1500+ for same policy!

Hard to say really. Your 21, high/medium risk postcode but then its a converted car, and you have an agreed valuation. Maybe ring AF (god forbid) and see what they quote you. If you only have the one quote, hard to say really.

Betting on AF not quoting if you tell them you had one from HIC

They did with me, they thought the quote from HIC was a total joke tbh lol

Not improved at all, cant wait til September to go somewhee else. Bunch of Cowboys imo.
I had an agreed policy on my 888 but they kindly renewed my policy whilst I was away on my card details that they had kept on file for a year. The best bit, once they had my money they decided to tell me they had removed my agreed valuation and could not put it back on without me paying £200 more than last years premium.
2nd time they have p!ssed me off, never ever again!

I was sceptical as I used to be insured with them 4 years ago but had no choice as no-one else would give me agreed value apart from HIC but the premium was three times as much with them

Been very good with the paperwork etc and changing addresses whereas I used to come out in a cold sweat when I had to sort out the paperwork as I knew something would go wrong.
