just bought a car off my mate and car has been brilliant for 3 years for him, when left gets damp on spark plugs and doesnt want to start, he left for 2 weeks this haapend, i picked it up got it started again firing on 3 because a ht lead was broken so boguht some new ht leads and spark plugs and it just refuses to start suggestions???

sounds daft but are you sure the leads are on in the correct order? and what condition is the distributor in?

yeah leads are on the same way never actually took them off until just changed them and only swapped one at a time distributor looks fine

As above, eather try another coil or just clean it all up.

thats good then cant complain at that! if its not the coil then looks like it will be the distributor

I had the same problem with mine after I changed the spark plugs & ht leads. Turned out to be faulty ht leads from halfords. Have u also changed the rotor arm? Correct plug gaps? Timing?

how far did you drive it running on three?
could have burnt a valve out. will it crank over but not start?
