Coilover problems

I bought some Gmax coilovers recently and tried to fit them today but everything looks okay until you fit them and the blue part i have circled moves down the damper piston which then makes the rubber part move upwards (towards the bonnet) as the only thing stopping the piston from moving upwards is the metal cup and rubber part. It seems like the centre bore on the blue top mount is too large and it should sit on the lip under the threads but doesnt? Anyone had similar problems?

Its the bottom bit with the bearing in that you are missing.
