Anyone know of anywhere that supplies this in decent sizes without the eBay scene tax? Looking for 3/4mm, a place in the North East would be good. I had a little Google but never really turned much up.

I know it's expensive to buy pre cut for specific applications (cars) but surely it can't cost the earth for standard sheets?

Had a look in Homebase/B+Q??

I worked at Homebase years ago, used to stock sheets of it in the building isle.

perspex does shatter.... into lovely sharp stabby shards (like glass)

polycarb will break/tear with "soft" edges

Perspex snaps into shards, Polycarb has much higher toughness (resistance to fracture)

Damn u Stu beat me to it

perspex is acrylic, which is pretty brittle, especially when exposed to the elements for a while, polycarbonate is whats used in riot shields and certain bulletproof applications, in combination with other stuff i believe.
