I need a pic of the plug that goes into the black barrel keychip pickup thing.

Basicaly need to see where each wire is ment to go.

And im told it has to be a corsa and not a mk4 astra like i have here lol

Thanks in advance.

The wire colours are there...
Plug the plug in on the pickup barrel, and those wires in my diagram you should have ready to join up.... :)

Pic?
What colour wires does it have?

Colours are:

Blue/brown - presumed to be the Pickup wire that goes to the ECU
Brown - earth
Black - IGN live?
Brown/white x2 - presumed to be diag stuff
Red - perm live?

In that order too, if you hold the ring so that the ring is pointing downwards thats left to right.

Hmm, if youve got the pickup from a mk4 astra, then its not going to be matched to your ecu surely?? As you have a x14xe?
Mk4 astras never had x14xe's

Edit-As for the wiring, cant really help you sorry as i have no experience with the later immobiliser setups
Black/Brown/Red sound right though.

Sorry should of added the pickup/chip/ECU are from a corsa. But the plug i used to connect the pickup i got from a mk4 astra as i couldnt get one from a corsa. Burgo told me the mk4s are differnet due to the corsas have the speed sensor go through the pickup?

Oh right, i get you.

In that case if the plug fits, just wire it up using the pins as a guide.

Corsa plug (one side should have 1 on, showing pin 1)
1-Brown/red-alarm input- NOT NEEDED
2-Brown/Blue-Engine management light
4-Brown-Ground
5-Black-Ign live
6-Blue/red-Speed signal FROM speed sensor
7-Blue/Red-Signal TO the ecu from speed sensor
8-Brown/White-Diags-NOT NEEDED
9-Red-12v live

Theres hundreds of cars in scrappies with the right plug btw.

Still not working. Il have another look tomorrow in daylight.

Shouldnt matter that i havnt wired up the speed sensor? i connected the one from the pickup-to-ECU though.

Meh ****e engine.

The speed sensor signal goes TO the transponder barrel, and a blue/red then goes from the barrel TO the ecu......
That wire is what carries the immobiliser signal

Just a thought with mine Adam? With the c16xe does it also need the speed sensor as I have one fitted, but will it still need it then as mine won't need to deimmobilse (sp) anything? Or is it still needed for the clutch depressing to stop the stalling?

Adam

Yes it still needs a speed sensor

Yes ad i know.

Im going to have a look tomorrow after work. Should be somthing simple.

Hopefully.
If you get the ecu light staying on with the ignition and not flashing, thats at least the immob problem sorted :)

Yes it still needs a speed sensor

Balls! Was hoping you were going to say take it off. Could have been the cure for mine cutting out.

Cheers anyway :thumb:

I know, i didnt even bother trying to start it once i saw the ECU light flashing. I think im going to have to put the standard dials back in untill i can acualy sort the baby xe as the circuit on the GSi dials is poo.
