A mate of mine has taken my disc beam i had up for sale to try on his corsa. Apparantly they fit on early corsa's (pre R reg). Should know for sure later in the week but just wondered if anyone knew the answer?

I've tried fitting a Nova beam to a p plate corsa and it didn't fit it was fifty mm too narrow, but I'll stand corrected if he manages it

considering that a nova is an early corsa, I'm guessing its a parts book error

No chance, hub end to hub end the corsa is over 40mm wider.

Was going to say! Not a chance in hell a Nova rear beam will fit!!!

BUT, Corsa Beams DO fit on 106's believe it or not :thumb:

/\ What are you being serious ? theyre absolutley completley different, i sure hope your taking the piss ? everything is different, the only place you'll fit on on a 106 is in the boot !

are they bolted through the boot floor like 306s?? but if they do fit would be the first upgrade you would do as the 106/306 or could be pug in general have shxt beams/bearings.

Well his is an L reg I believe so only time will tell now!!

I would have thought all corsa' shell would be the same but he was telling me that his made had an early L/M reg shell and got a beam off a newer corsa B and it wouldn't line up for toffee thats when they found out there different!

Well anything will fit anything it just depends on how much work your prepared to do hey, i just thought you were implying something stupid like they are a easy swap. To be honest i think you'd be better off spending all the time to make another axle fit instead of a corsa/nova one after all they are very crude, surley you'd be better off fitting something like a multilink setup with loads of adjustment.

I wasn't claiming anything. ;)

A mate new I was selling my disc'd beam and asked if he could try it on his corsa because he'd heard they fit the early corsa's. I thought it was a long shot aswell but worth a check.
